The Texas State Trail 5k
Located in the beautiful San Marcos greenbelt trail system, the Texas State Trail 5k is the perfect entry into the world of trail running. With trip-resistant trails meandering through a newly constructed gravel path, runners have little to fret about.

Runners receive a student designed t-shirt, goodie bag, timed 5k race, with water along the way. 

Awards:
19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & up

Parking:
Across from the Purgatory Creek Park Trail head, at the intersection of Wonder World Drive and Hunter Road.

Race Day Registration:
Price increases $5 and must be paid in cash/check. Open from 7:00am-7:45am ONLY.

Saturday (Race morning):

Course:
Runners start at the trailhead of the Purgatory Creek entrance and follow the gravel path until crossing a field which steadily falls into a single track path. The single track makes passing difficult, so be sure to position yourself accordingly.
A large loop is made around the park, and runners then make a smaller inner loop before making there way back to the start area to finish.
